Mission and Vision
MISSION
The mission of the Weldon City School District is to create and maintain a highly effective educational system in which every student receives the highest quality education. School employees and parents work together to prepare students to become caring, competent, and responsible citizens who value education as a lifelong process.
VISION
The Weldon City Schools District will serve as a model district for the state of North Carolina based on the success generated through students’ academic and behavioral performances.
Great News Families, Weldon City School Summer Learning Program was a great success. Students were engaged and excited about learning and growing as they addressed their academic needs and participated in extracurricular activities, aligned with the summer school curriculum. Teachers and Support Staff promoted student engagement as they provided effective resources to stimulate learning and growing. A job Well Done, to our district support, school leaders, teachers, support staff, scholars, and of course our wonderful parents and guardians.
READING IS ESSENTIAL
Read, Read, Read. It is very important that our students are reading throughout the Summer Months. Parents and Guardians we believe in "All Hands on Deck Reading". WEGA students were provided books during our Summer Book Drop-Off. However, as a result of technology reading opportunities are endless for all academic levels. Please explore some of the wonderful material below. Click the links provided and start your journey.
To promote and encourage reading, please join Mrs. Angela Lee Easter on Tuesdays at 6:00pm for live reading on Weldon City School's Facebook page. Click here to join
