Mission and Vision
MISSION
The mission of the Weldon City School District is to create and maintain a highly effective educational system in which every student receives the highest quality education. School employees and parents work together to prepare students to become caring, competent, and responsible citizens who value education as a lifelong process.
VISION
The Weldon City Schools District will serve as a model district for the state of North Carolina based on the success generated through students’ academic and behavioral performances.
Greetings to our wonderful community of parents, students, and stakeholders. Well, as you all know school is about to reopen and the Weldon City Schools' staff and district leaders are looking forward to a great and productive academic year. Our focus this year is getting back to the basics. As a district we want to ensure that ours students and families are provided with an opportunity to participate in the teaching and learning process. We are fully aware that there will be challenges in our getting back to the basics, but as we all know too well Weldon is up to the challenge. We are going to put our best foot forward and do what it takes to meet the needs of our students and this wonderful community. We are also fully aware that it can't be done without the involvement of our families. This year we are looking forward to working with our families in building and maintaining a foundation where we can continue to construct an effective learning environment. Let's Make Weldon City Schools Great Together.
