PUBLIC NOTICE OF BOARD MEETING

The Weldon City Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled business meeting on Thursday, February 16, 2022. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the items listed on the agenda. The Board will convene in closed session at 5:30pm and reconvene at approximately 6:30pm for open session. The meeting will take place at the Weldon STEM High School Career Academies, 415 County Road, Weldon, NC 27890.

Please take notice that the Superintendent of the Weldon City Schools is convening a new 6-12 school construction project Visioning Committee meeting on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. While this is not scheduled as a meeting of the Weldon City Schools Board of Education, this notice is sent to notify the public that all members of the Weldon City Schools Board of Education may be attending the meeting and participating in the discussions regarding the construction of the new 6-12 school. The meeting will take place in the media center at Weldon High School, located at 415 County Road, Weldon, NC 27890.

Please take notice that the Superintendent of the Weldon City Schools is convening a new 6-12 school construction project Programming Committee meeting on Thursday, February 2, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m. While this is not scheduled as a meeting of the Weldon City Schools Board of Education, this notice is sent to notify the public that a quorum of the members of the Weldon City Schools Board of Education may attend the meeting and participate in the discussions regarding the construction of the new 6-12 school. The meeting will take place in the media center at Weldon High School, located at 415 County Road, Weldon, NC 27890.

The Board will convene in closed session at 5:30pm and reconvene at approximately 6:30pm for open session. The meeting will take place at the Weldon STEM High School Career Academies, 415 County Road, Weldon, NC 27890.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR WELDON CITY SCHOOLS, SEALED BIDS. Weldon City Schools is seeking sealed bids for two (2) Type C – Conventional school activity buses. For a complete description of the bidding requirements and specifications, visit www.weldoncityschools.org. Sealed proposals from bidders will be received until 5:00pm EST on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in the office of the Weldon City Schools Transportation Department, 301 Mulberry Street, Weldon, NC 27890. Bids will be publicly opened at 12:00pm EST on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, in the central office board room. Weldon City Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids for sound documented reasons.
